Yet another open door

Hi to those interested enough to check in!

I am far from techno savvy, but this seems like a great way to stay in touch with friends and do some journalling at the same time. We'll see how it goes. You can contact me either by posting a comment to this blog, or by emailing me.

Today is December 10th, a working day, and just about 5 weeks to d-day. I have much to do and am not very organized about getting it done. No one that knows me well will be surprised to learn I am once again changing houses. And traveling. Although doing both at once is something I have not attempted before! Should be interesting to see how it all works out.

For the few of you that I haven't told yet, I am off to Peru in January, having decided there is no time like the present to tick another item off my "bucket list". It will actually tick 2 items off: Manchu Pichu and a visit to a jungle. Yay!  Might learn a couple of words of Spanish while I'm at it.

I am happy to report that all side effects from the myriad shots I received have ended. Fever, headache, rash and aches are gone, and I once again feel human. Since I KNEW that I would get the side effects (murphy's / linda's law) I was ready for them with copious amounts of Tylenol and chicken broth. Worked like a charm.

Life at "spiffy red shirt land" is still going well. They have a great HR model. I am actually quite impressed with the whole operation. I have no complaints. (Well, ok, maybe it could use a quiet room and some yoga mats...)

Life in the community evolves, and most days I am given good reason to be thankful to have found it. To live in a place where there are friends all around me, to eat together, and do community work together... well it really can't get much better than this. Those of you who wish I would "come home" should know that I am home.

But visiting is good. I'll be in TO staying at Amy's from Jan 16-19, and again from Mar 12-18. See you there!

I think I have rambled enough for now.

ttyl... (I am pretty sure that is teenage/cyber speak for talk to you later)

:)

Linda
